Following on from the previous post, we are now one step closer to being fully operational again.
This morning my son collected a small flock of POL hybrid layers. Lovely birds, tame, friendly and exceptional egg producers. My little work horses who support the more traditional breeds throughout the winter. As always they arrived in perfect condition and very close to lay. In fact one little hen even laid an egg on the journey home.
For now they are in their shed with plenty of food, water and fresh air. Tomorrow we will let them out into the large grass pen to free range.( safe behind 6ft+ electric fencing )
